Shannon Smith Releases New Song “Valentine's Day” featuring The McCrary Sisters
Australian singer-songwriter Shannon Smith released a new song “Valentine's Day” on February 6, 2024.
The song follows up the 2023 singles “Dance the Night Away (Do Do Do Do)” and “I'm Gonna Change”.
On the track, he teamed up with American gospel music quartet The McCrary Sisters. The track was written by Shannon Smith.
Shannon Smith said of the song, “This song was born from a place of deep vulnerability and truth. It tells a story of love, not just in its most joyous moments, but love that has been tested, love that has faltered, and love that has found its way back to redemption. It's about the courage it takes to stand in front of someone you care about and admit your mistakes, the strength to ask for forgiveness, and the power of love to heal and bring us closer together.”
He continued, “Having the McCrary Sisters lend their incredible voices to this track has been an honour. Their soulful harmonies have added a depth and richness to the song that truly brings its message to life. Their involvement is a dream come true and adds a layer of gospel-infused magic.”
- He added, “'Valentine's Day' is not just my story; it's a reflection of the universal challenges and triumphs that love brings into our lives. It's a reminder that love, in all its forms, is worth fighting for. I poured every ounce of my being into creating this song, and to say I'm excited to share it with you would be an understatement. I'm hopeful, anxious, and everything in between. But more than anything, I'm grateful for the opportunity to share this piece of my journey with you.”
