Keith Urban Releases New Song “Straight Line”
Last month, Australian singer-songwriter Keith Urban released two collaborative songs “Shape Of Me” with British singer-songwriter Rita Ora and “Si Me Llevas Contigo” with Mexican singer-songwriter Carin Leon and Spanish singer-songwriter Rosario.
Following two songs, he released the first single entitled “Straight Line” from his upcoming 12th studio album on February 2, 2024.
The new album is his first body of work in four years since the 2020 album “The Speed of Now Part 1”
The track was written by Chase McGill, Greg Wells, Jerry Flowers, and Keith Urban. Produced by Keith Urban and Greg Wells.
Keith Urban said of the song, “This is the song that kicks off an album I'm jonesing to share with you all. I chose it first for a lot of reasons, but particularly because I think it represents an energy and spirit that became a through line of the whole record. I'm gonna cover a lot of themes, emotions and vibes on this album but a very human spirit runs through them all.”
- He continued, “'Straight Line' is wanting to break out of a soul-sucking routine that you might be stuck in: maybe in a relationship, a job, with creativity, with yourself...whatever it is !! It's a message of feeling alive again and getting out from under that dark cloud. If you've seen us in concert, I hope it gives you that same feeling.”
