Dan + Shay Releases New Song “For The Both of Us”
American country pop music duo Dan + Shay, consisting of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, will release their upcoming fifth studio album “Bigger Houses” on September 15, 2023.
From the album, the duo unveiled the sixth single called “For The Both of Us” on September 8, 2023.
The track was written by Dan Smyers, Andy Albert, and Jordan Reynolds. Produced by Dan Smyers and Scott Hendricks
The accompanying music video was directed by MMXIII.
The song draws that the protagonist addressed his future father-in-law as he promises to treat his daughter well, “I'm in love with your daughter/ And I've been since the first time I saw her/ I'll ask her the question if you give your blessin'/ When she takes my hand, you can trust/ I'll love her enough for the both of us.”- The new album comprises 12-track, produced by duo member Dan Smyers and Scott Hendricks.
Dan Smyers said of the album, “Some of our records have been more pop- or hip-hop/R&B-infused, but on this record, I wanted to make tracks that we could hop up at any bar anywhere with our live band and play the songs as they were recorded. Ultimately, this music, this whole album, is something that I'll be able to look back on in a decade or two and be really proud of the way it turned out.” - source : Apple Music
