Doja Cat Returns With New Song “Attention”
American rapper Doja Cat is back with a new song “Attention” on June 16, 2023.
The song is her first solo release of 2023 and is also the second single of 2023, following a remix of SZA's “Kill Bill” released back in April.
The track was written by Amala Zandile Dlamini, Rogét Chahayed, and Ari Starace. Produced by Y2K and Rogét Chahayed.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tanu Muino, who shot in Los Angeles.
Doja Cat is currently working on her upcoming fourth studio album.
It is her first body of work in two years since the 2021 album “Planet Her”.
Back in April, she unofficially announced that the album would be called “First Of All”. But the title could be subject to change.
Recently, she told Rolling Stone, “It’s no longer called First of All. I’ve been messing around with name ideas for the album and have like 8 of them that I’m deciding between. I’ll be announcing the real title soon. I’ve been reconnecting with the music that I was raised listening to; Erykah Badu, John Coltrane, Nineties hip hop…the music that influenced me as a kid.
