  • Linkin Park Releases Unreleased Song “Lost”

  • American rock band Linkin Park released an unreleased song “Lost” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their second album “Meteora” on February 10, 2023.

The song was originally recorded while writing the 2003 album “Meteora”.
The track is accompanied by a new animated music video featuring imagery of late lead vocalist Chester Bennington, who died in 2017 at the age of 41.
“Finding this track was like finding a favorite photo you had forgotten you'd taken, like it was waiting for the right moment to reveal itself,” Mike Shinoda said of the track in a statement. “For years, fans have been asking us to release something with Chester's voice, and I'm thrilled we've been able to make that happen in such a special way. I think they're going to be floored when they hear and see all the incredible unreleased songs and video footage in Meteora|20.”
  • The track was written by Brad Delson, Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn. Produced by Linkin Park and Don Gilmore.
The animated video was directed by Maciej Kuciara and pplpleasr.
The song is feature on a special 20th anniversary reissue of “Meteora”, which is set to be released on April 7, 2023.
The album includes six additional unreleased songs, plus demos, b-sides, live shows, and never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage on five LPs - Meteora, Live in Texas, and the previously unreleased Live in Nottingham 2003. It also includes a 40-page book, 36” x 24” poster, litho, sticker sheet, stencil, and hi-res download card.
