British singer-songwriter Olly Murs will release his upcoming seventh studio album “Marry Me” on December 2, 2022 via EMI Records.
It is his first album in four years since the 2018 album “You Know I Know”.
From the album, he released the second single called “I Hate You When You're Drunk”, following “Die Of A Broken Heart” on November 25, 2022.
The track was written by Olly Murs, and David Stewart who also produced it.
“I thought it was a fun song to write as there have been so many times where a friend, family member or loved one has had one too many,” Olly Murs said of the song. “It’s a light-hearted take from the sober person’s point of view. We all know someone!!!!”- The new album comprises 11-track and was written and recorded solely by Murs, David Stewart, and Jessica Agombar.
Olly Murs said of the album, “I've never done this before. It felt weird writing with the same people constantly. But I loved the routine and the consistency. We just kept writing good songs. They had a great vibe and an enthusiasm and a hunger.”
He will perform some tracks to celebrate the release of the new album at St John's Church on December 1, 2022.
He shared, “To celebrate the release of my new album 'Marry Me', I will be playing a very special acoustic performance (including a string quartet!) of a few tracks from the new record at St John's Church, as part of An Evening with myself.”
