Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Dusky Premieres New Song “Lonely Dulcimer” on BBC Radio 1
London-based DJ duo Dusky, consisting of Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman, premiered a new song “Lonely Dulcimer” on BBC Radio 1's Dance Party with Danny Howard.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming fourth studio album “Pressure”, following “Endless Sky” and “In Effect”.
It was written and produced by Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman.
The new album comprises 11-track, featuring guest appearances from EL-B, Interplanetary Criminal and Mariella.
It is set to be released on October 7, 2022.
Dusky said of the album, “While working on our previous album JOY we really enjoyed the process of creating 'Eros', one of the more garage influenced tracks on the album. It motivated us to work on other ideas in that vein, looking back to various forms of garage for inspiration. Those ideas developed into Pressure, our new album that is an ode to the sound of our youth.”
The duo continued, “Garage was omnipresent in London during our formative years. It was impossible to walk down the street without hearing it blasting from open windows and passing cars, and as a result it automatically worked its way into our musical DNA. Its impact on us can be heard across our music, though on Pressure we have really let it come to the fore.”
The duo will perform at EartH in London to celebrate the album on October 8, 2022, along with El-B, Smokey Bubblin' B, and Saachi.- source : BBC Radio 1
