American singer-songwriter Cali Morris released her highly-anticipated debut song “Pieces” on August 12, 2022.
She wrote the song with Los Angeles-based producer Colin Boyd.
The track blends slick sound with her powerful and emotive vocal. The lyrics accompanied with piano draws a true story of her heartbreak over the verses.
Cali Morris is a 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Pataskala, Ohio. Fall of 2021, she auditioned to compete in the 20th season of American Idol and earned Golden ticket.
But before her competition, she tested positive for COVID-19, and was unable to compete.
She recalled, “I've never been one to wallow in disappointment, though. Since the age of three, singing has been my love, and I've been working hard to improve since 2015 when I began my vocal training with Natalia Chase. My family has taught me to never give up on my aspirations, and I am very grateful for their unwavering support.”
She continued, “They have helped me release several popular singing videos on TikTok, release my first cover song on all major streaming services, and debut my first original song with Los Angeles area producer and composer, Colin Boyd. By sharing my love of story-telling through music, I hope to continue inspiring people from all walks of life to never give up no matter their setback.”- source : Spotify
