First Full Trailer for Disney's Live-Action “Aladdin” featuring Will Smith
The first full trailer for Walt Disney Pictures “Aladdin” was premiered on March 12, 2019. The film is based on the Arabic folktale of the same name from “One Thousand and One Nights”. Also, the movie is a remake of Disney's 1992 animated film of the same name.
Back in January, a short teaser was screened during the Super Bowl.
The film was directed by Guy Ritchie, starring Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen.
Will Smith played as Genie, Mena Massoud played as Aladdin and Mena Massoud played as the evil Jafar.- In the 1992 original version, Genie was played by Robin Williams. "Whenever you're doing things that are iconic, it's always terrifying," Will Smith said. "The question is always: Where was there meat left on the bone? Robin didn't leave a lot of meat on the bone with the character."
He continued, "[But] I started to feel confident that I could deliver something that was an homage to Robin Williams but was musically different. Just the flavor of the character would be different enough and unique enough that it would be in a different lane, versus trying to compete."
The film is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2019. - source : GameSpot
