    The Men's Quarterfinal watched dramatic close game in Heat 2, where Wildcard Mikey Wright (AUS) and Willian Cardoso (BRA) competed.
    Willian Cardoso earned 7.33 points with power maneuver and led the Heat. But Mikey Wright answered with tube riding and gained 6.50 and 6.23 with a total of 12.73 points. In 1 minutes 30 seconds remaining, Willian Cardoso showcased deep tube riding on his last wave. He received 7.53 with a total of 14.86 points. At the point, everyone thought Willian Cardoso won, but Mikey Wright was tube riding again in 20 seconds remaining.
    Finally, he received 8.43 points and made a comeback to win following Round 4.
    The result decided Michel Bourez (PYF) vs Mikey Wright (AUS) and Jordy Smith (ZAF) vs Italo Ferreira (BRA) in Semifinal.

    Mikey Wright said;
    "That was a really tough heat against Willian, he was surfing so good. It felt like a really long time waiting for that score to come, I was on the beach, but was so relieved when it came through. The waves have been so good and there's been so much good surfing in this event, I can't really believe I'm in the Semis."

    In Heat 4, Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) gained the best score of the day 8.40 points with tube riding. It was similar to Heat 4 of Round 3 yesterday, where she showcased almost perfect 10 with tube riding.
    Reigning Champion Tyler Wright (AUS) took down Tatiana Weston-Webb (BRA) in Heat 1 of Semifinal. Tyler Wright advanced to her first Final since Oi Rio Women's Pro 2017.
    Lakey Peterson (USA) defeated Sally Fitzgibbons in Heat 2 of Semifinal and advanced to the Final. This marks her third time Final of the 2018 season.

    Lakey Peterson said;
    "When I saw that Steph was out I think I let my emotions get the best of me. I was pretty aware of everything and watched her heat closely. I love the Jeep Leader Jersey and would really like it back. I hope to keep this rhythm going and get a good little run on but I'm also keeping things in perspective and if it doesn't happen that's fine because I'm having a lot of fun."
