Adam Lambert Releases New Album “VELVET”: Streaming
American singer-songwriter and Queen's vocalist Adam Lambert released his fourth studio album “VELVET” on March 20th. It is his first LP in five years.
The album comprises of 13-track including the EP “Velvet: Side A”, which was released last September, and features Nile Rodgers.
He also dropped a new music video for album title track on the same day.
“The song ‘Velvet‘ was written after I called the project Velvet. The title of the album came first,” Adam Lambert told Entertainment Weekly. “I hadn’t finished all of the songs yet but I had probably about eight songs I knew that I was going to go with. I was trying to think of a word that described them all.”
“If I compared it to my previous work, this stuff’s very smooth and I explore different parts of my voice that are a little softer and smoother and slinkier and soulful,” he explained. “I was like, ‘It’s smooth. It’s velvety.’ And I’m like, ‘Ooh, velvet. Well, that makes sense.’”
The album features '70s rock sound. He described the album as "thirteen slinky numbers to catch a vibe to".
Back in January, he launched an LGBTQ+ non-profit advocacy group called the Feel Something Foundation, which was named from album last track.
He planned to perform the Venetian Las Vegas in April, but the concert postponed due to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak.- source : Entertainment Weekly
