The EP comprises of 6-track including her breakthrough single “Dance Monkey”, debut single “Johnny Run Away” and latest sibgle “Never Seen the Rain”.
“Dance Monkey” became Australian double platinum and went to No. 1 in Norway, and Sweden and clocked up 80 million streams globally.
On the album, she talks about how the younger generation is taking over the world, making lots of changes and protesting for their rights.
She signed to Warner Chappell Music and supported by A&R in the US this year. The EP is her first project under major label.
Toni Watson said, “It means the world that Ryan (A&R), David (A&R) and the Warner Chappell team believe so much in me as a songwriter. They’ve worked with some seriously amazing talent and have incredible instincts about fostering creativity and collaborations. It’s a dream to have their support.”
She will performed at Nomads Arts Factory Lodge on September 1st. She wrote on social media, "For the people that don’t know my story, I was living out of my van and I was a full time street performer//busker until April this year. Every Tuesday I would play at the Nomads Arts Factory Lodge talent show. It’s where I first played dance monkey and it’s where I really found my feet in music.
To say thank you, THIS SUNDAY I’m going back and playing my last show there (sad)! It’s $5 on the door and all the money will go back to the arts factory. There is limited space so first in best dressed. The show will kick off at 5:30 but I will have another talented busker played 4:30. I love you Byron bay, I love you arts factory. Let’s make it big for old times "
