Leon Bridges Announces New Album “Gold-Diggers Sound”, Unveils New Song “Motorbike”
American soul singer-songwriter Leon Bridges announced his upcoming third studio album “Gold-Diggers Sound” would be released on July 23, 2021.
From the album, he unveiled a new song “Motorbike” with an accompanying music video on May 14, 2021.
It was written by Leon Bridges, Paris Strother, Nate Mercereau, Ricky Reed and Dan Wilson. The video was directed by Anderson .Paak.
Leon Bridges said of the song, “The inception of the song started with this afrobeat-type instrumental that my homeboy Nate Mercereau made. Prior to the session, I was in Puerto Rico for my 30th with some of my best friends, and the energy of that trip totally inspired this song. 'Motorbike' is about living in the moment and escaping with someone. It's the personification of that unspoken chemistry you have with that person. A special thank you to my man Anderson .Paak for the stunning visuals.”- The album comprises of 11-track, featuring Robert Glasper, Junior's Fanfare, Terrace Martin and Ink. It is his first album in three years.
He shared on social media about the album, “I created this world with Ricky Reed and Nate Mercereau at Gold Diggers Studio in East Hollywood over the course of two very long years. With immense joy, greater purpose, and sometimes doubt, I labored over these eleven songs, but the record truly came together when I immersed myself in everything Gold-Diggers making it my home, my escape, and the center of my creative world.” - source : Spotify
