The FBR Releases New Song “Before I Drown”
Tennessee-based rock band The FBR (Famous Blue Raincoat) has unveiled their new single “Before I Drown” in honor of Alcoholism Awareness month.
The track lyrically is based on true events, due to its vulnerable subject matter, it took nearly five years before the pair felt it was time for the piece to see the light of day.
The FBR hopes of the single reaching those who feel isolated during a dark time, as well as destigmatizing mental health and the misconceptions that addicts face.
The FBR said, “The topic of addiction is so taboo in this country. It stems from something. The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, it's connection. [We] want people to hear this song and know that they are heard, felt, seen, and loved.”
The band is dropping the music video for the song in May.
