AC/DC Premieres New Song “Realize”
- Australian rock band AC/DC unveiled a new song “Realize” on November 12th.
The song is taken from their upcoming seventeenth studio album “Power Up”, which is out this Friday (November 13th). The album is their first LP since 2014's “Rock Or Bust”.
All tracks of the album were written by lead guitar Angus Young, and his late brother Malcolm Young who was rhythm guitarist and died in 2017.
“A lot of the songs, Malcolm and myself, we had worked on,” Angus Young told Radio.com. “These were songs that we had been working through the years. And it was a case of getting these songs out. And I wanted to make sure that I had a lot of good tracks that Mal really liked.”
Frontman Brian Johnson said, “Malcolm was always there. As Angus would say, the band was his idea. Everything in it ran through him. He was always there in your minds or just your thoughts. I still see him in my own way. I still think about him. And then in the studio when we're doing it, you have to be careful when you look around because he seems to be there.”
The new album serves as a tribute to Malcolm Young.
