Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Daya Returns With New Song “First Time”
Back in January, American singer-songwriter Daya teamed up with Los Angeles-based producer Shallo for “Older”.
Following the song, she dropped a new song “First Time” on October 9th.
For her own original song, it is her first single since 2019's “Keeping It in the Dark”, which was featured the Netflix original series “13 Reasons Why: Season 3” soundtrack.
The track was written by Grace Tandon, Shy Martin, Svante Halldin and Jakob Hazell. Produced by Jack & Coke.
The song will appear on forthcoming sophomore album (yet-untitled).
“[It] was a natural result of being more in touch with myself and the world around me, knowing exactly what I want and how to get there,” Daya explains in the press release. “It feels like a rebirth of self – sonically and visually – and it's a small piece of an entire world I'm building with my new partnership with J Kash at Sandlot Records and AWAL.”- source : Spotify
