Sonia Tetlow Premieres New Music Video for “Now”
Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Sonia Tetlow premiered a new music video for "Now" from her upcoming the same title solo album, which is set to be released on November 3, 2017.
The video was directed by Weston Manders. The song was released on October 5th, produced by Ben Williams (B.E.N).
About the new song, Sonia Tetlow explained;
"I’ve never been afraid to put it all out there in song. Essentially [”Now”] is a song that’s about trying to get out of my own way. It’s the last song that I wrote for t he album and it made sense that it would sort of culminate in that...a lot of these songs are about reconciling with the past and trying to live in the moment and be at peace with it."- The new album "Now" contains 10-track, supporting by Atlanta-based musicians like Matt Henderson (keyboard), Moog synth (guitar), Jimmy “Bones” McAlpin guitar) and Josh Birmingham (drums).
"I was really looking for some different sounds on this record, and especially since I grew up in the 80s, I love having these different sounds, having the synthesizer in there,” Tetlow says. “This collection of songs is really rhythm-based, and drummer Josh [Birmingham] and Ben did an amazing job capturing the grooves. I love the soundscapes the guys created on [the record]." -
Sonia Tetlow fronts the band Herman Put Down The Gun and plays banjo in the alterna-grass group Roxie Watson. She played bass guitar in the rock band Cowboy Mouth from 2004-2007.
Formerly the singe and guitarist for Atlanta punk rock trio, STB (Sonia Tetlow Band). The band has released two albums "Spit" (2000) and "Swerve" (2001).
