Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Lovetta Releases New Song “Vuja De”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Lovetta released a new song “Vuja De” on February 8, 2024.
The song follows up “Auld Lang Syne”, which was released last November.
"Vuja De" flips the words "déjà vu," delving into the essence of her breakup anthem.
The song evokes a once-familiar feeling of something or someone, now strange and unfamiliar, echoing the universal ebb and flow of relationships.
The track was written by Taylor Dupuis and produced by Peter Eddins.
Lovetta said of the song, “It's one of the most personal songs I've written and released. I wrote it in a time where I needed a lot of healing and this one came to me at just the right time. 'Vuja De' means a whole lot to me. I wrote it in a time of pain, and growth, and healing. I was in the midst of discovering a new me.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Lovetta and her best friend, Whitni Resides.
Lovetta said of the video, “The music video captures that essence of the moment where I made one of the hardest decisions of my life. To leave. I will never forget that moment. I have never felt so broken and free at the same time, and dancing down a dark street felt like the perfect way to capture that feeling.”
The new remix of the song, produced by Violetta’s Wyatt Oberholzer, will be released on February 28, 2024. -
