Day Wave Returns With New Song “As You Are”
American indie rock project Day Wave, consisting of Jackson Phillips, returned with a new song “As You Are” on December 6, 2023.
Back in August, Day Wave joined in Seattle-based dream pop singer-songwriter Natalie Lew, aka Sea Lemon's EP “Stop at Nothing”, where he performed “Breakdown”.
But the new song is the first solo single in almost a year since the 2022 album “Pastlife”.
The track was written and produced by Jackson Phillips.
Jackson Phillips said of the song, “It's about a relationship unravelling, and the moment you realise that neither person is willing to change to make it work. The song took a while to fully come to fruition. I had been playing the chord progression over and over again for months before I actually wrote the song over it.”- Photo by Natalie Hewitt
