Delara Releases New Song “Unbound”
Norwegian singer-songwriter Delara released a new song “Unbound” on August 25, 2023.
The song is the first single off of her upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released in 2023.
Written with her mother in mind, the song encapsulates the joy and sorrow stitched into the tapestry of life as Delara reckons with spending time with her loved ones while also understanding it will one day come to an end.
The track was written by Ole Torjus Hofvind, Edvard Normann, and Kristoffer Haugan.

She has already filmed a music video for the song directed by Erik Carswell, which is coming soon.
Delara said of the song, “It speaks of the sorrow one carries as an emotionally intelligent species. We become tied to other human beings and things - answer we bear the burden of knowing that everything around us will one day vanish. The song reflects upon how peaceful I would have felt within, had I not been emotionally attached to anyone or anything.”- Delara shared on social media, “As the sands of time slip through my fingers, the more familiar I’ve gotten with the transience of life and that the people we love, will one day be gone. As beautiful and painful as the human experience can be, I find comfort in knowing that those we hold most dear will never truly leave us. Their presence will echo in our words, gestures, values and how we see the world. They will always be a part of us, cause they shaped the very core of us. 🤍🕊️”
