Vadé Releases New Song “Mango”
British a cappella R&B quintet Vadé, consisting of Jermaine Sanderson (first tenor), Philip Yeboah (second tenor), Roy Crisp (third tenor), Emmanuel Ayeni (baritone) and Joshua 'JJ' Hammerlsey (bass), released a new song “Mango” on July 28, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to a cover of American singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper's “Time after Time” featuting The Swingles, which was released back in March.
Also, the track will appear on their upcoming EP, which is expected to be released later this year.
The lyrics capture in simplicity some of the things the guys love about their partners.
The track describes how they liken this love to the sweetness of some of the foods and drink synonymous with their Afro-Caribbean culture.
The group said of the song, “We wanted a song that represented who we are as well as something that captured fundamental parts of our lives, so we came up with Mango, combining the exotic fruit with culture and how the sweetness of it relates to the fondness of a partner.”
