  • Freddy Madson Releases New Song “Blue Rain”

  • Danish singer-songwriter Freddy Madson released a new song “Blue Rain” on February 24, 2023.

The song is the third single off of his upcoming debut EP “Boys Never Cry”, which is set to be released on March 17, 2023.
It was written by Frederik Schultz Madsen, and Niels Christian Sommer Kjærgaard. Produced by Niels Christian Sommer Kjærgaard.
Freddy Madson said of the song, “'Blue Rain' tells the story of a period in my life where I was feeling blue on and off due to my music career not taking off. I compared myself to other artists a lot and it affected my self esteem and mood. I dwelled on it a lot and was overthinking everything... Like a tape on repeat. It came from a place of self-reflection.”
He continued, “There's a line in the first verse that I really like; 'I'm spicing up the meal, bite after bite, by telling how I feel.' It's very honest and ironic at the same time. It sets the scene and describes a situation I've been in many times with my girlfriend where I'm just pouring out my frustrations and thoughts over dinner. I generally like it when my lyrics have a little bit of self-irony in them to make sure I don't take myself too seriously.”
  • The Debut EP comprises 6-track, featuring guest appearance from Lleoh. Produced by Niels Christian Sommer Kjærgaard.
Freddy Madson said of the EP, “My upcoming EP, 'Boys Never Cry', is a little getaway into a universe of 6 songs - my most honest work yet. All the songs were written and produced together with my friend Summers during the last two years. We set out to make an EP and through the process these songs appeared. It deals with self-sabotage and reflection, love, doubt, faith and overthinking, things I've been dealing with good and bad - for the last 4 years.”
