Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Seeb & Alexander Stewart Team Up for New Song “Would You Lie”
Norwegian EDM duo Seeb, consisting of Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg, teamed up with Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter Alexander Stewart to release a new song “Would You Lie” along with a music video.
This marks the first collaboration between Seeb and Alexander Stewart.
The track was written by Joakim Haukaas, Alexander Stewart, Espen Berg, and Simen Eriksrud. Produced by Seeb and JOKI.
Seeb said, “On a beautiful spring day at the end of May, in our hometown of Oslo, we unexpectedly met Alex and Joki in our studio. They had started working on this song idea that we immediately liked. Alex called it "Would You Lie?". After they left, we snuck into the studio, copied the recordings and started working on it. Then a few weeks later I had a finished version. Alex has a unique and melancholy voice, a great tone.”- Alexander Stewart said, “I was traveling around Europe writing a lot, and at the end of the trip, I had 2 days in Oslo. I went to the studio and started writing a song that I thought was quite interesting called 'Would You Lie?'. I got to meet Seeb at the studio and they loved it! A few weeks later I was told they started working on it and literally the next day they basically sent the finished version. I love how organic this whole process has been, and the blend of our sounds on the record is something super special.”
