Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Starling Arrow Releases New Song “Into The River”
American folk group Starling Arrow, consisting of Leah Song, Chloe Smith, Tina Malia, Ayla Nereo, and Marya Stark, released a new song “Into The River”.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming debut album “Cradle”, which is expected to be released in January 2023.
It was written by Chloe Smith and produced by Tina Malia.
They have already filmed a music video for the song directed by Chloe Smith, which is coming soon.
Starling Arrow sang this song in free form for the album, with less notes and arrangements than some of the other tracks and more of a vocal jam type air.
The group explained of the song, “A merging of acapella voices reminiscent of sirens by the river, our new song is a homage to the waters. Written by a rushing river in Appalachia, it calls for a laying down of one's heavy bones and troubles by the rains and the rivers. Sonically the song layers in each voice one by one until all women are harmonizing and singing one harmonious interwoven song like rain drops morphing into a great surge.”- source : Apple Music
