Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ 5 Seconds of Summer Releases New Song “Older” featuring Sierra Deaton
Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, consisting of Luke Hemmings (vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar), Calum Hood (bass) and Ashton Irwin (drums), unveiled a new song “Older” from their upcoming fifth studio album “5SOS5” on September 7, 2022.
This time, the band teamed up with American singer-songwriter Sierra Deaton on the track. Also, Sierra Deaton is known as fiance of Luke Hemmings.
The song is the fifthe single off of the album. It was written by Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Sierra Deaton and Michael Pollack. Produced by Michael Clifford.
Sierra Deaton shared on social media, “This is one of the most special records I've ever been a part of. Luke and I started this idea in our living room back in March 2019 as an ode to 50's love songs, but it wasn't until he jokingly sent a voice memo of it years later that Michael convinced us we needed to finish it together. And I'm so happy he did. 😭”
She continued, “I stopped pursuing an artist career a long time ago as I feel most comfortable being behind the scenes… but I've never stopped loving to sing. So an extra special thank you to my friends in @5sos for wanting to keep my voice on the final version. 🥺”- Also, a portion of proceeds of the song will go to Beyond Blue, which is an Australian mental health and wellbeing support organisation.
Sierra Deaton added, “In honor of this record, I'll be donating to Beyond Blue. They provide information and support for anxiety, depression and suicide prevention for everyone in Australia. 🦋”
