Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Imen Siar Releases Debut Song “Lonely People”
Last November, Moroccan-Italian singer-songwriter Imen Siar joined in French DJ David Guetta's remix of “Family” along with Ty Dolla $ign & A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.
Following the song, she releases her long-awaited debut song “Lonely People” along with a music video on March 18, 2022 via icons+giants.
It was written by Jeff Franzel, John Anthony Adams and Shelly Mcerlaine. Produced by Issa Summers.
Imen Siar said of the song “'Lonely People' touched me the first moment I heard it. Probably the only thing more contagious than Covid right now is isolation and loneliness, so the idea of ending loneliness spoke to me.”
The video was directed by Josh Gallo. The clip is referencing her own story.
She said, “I still work as a waitress in Nando's and all this started with me singing into a mop on my coffee break and my label and Tiziano Ferro seeing the post and then signing me. We weren't sure how we'd make the video during Covid, but I flew to America on the very day the travel ban lifted and the following day I was in a small New England town still singing into a mop, trying to add a little positivity into the world.”- Photo by Alexander Beer
