- Kylie Spence Premieres New Music Video for “Lying Eyes”
- Back in July, Los Angeles-based 16 year old singer-songwriter Kylie Spence released a debut song “Lying Eyes”. After three month, she dropped a new music video for the debut song. Directed by Spencer D. Evans and produced by Kristin Coleman, Josh Bales.
The song is taken from her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released later in 2017. The track has already been streamed over 100,000 times on Spotify. It was written by Kylie Spence and produced by Greg Cortez.
About the song, she told Artist Direct in an interview;
“I was inspired by so many things while writing Lying Eyes. Writing the song wasn’t something I went into knowing that I would come out with a new song. It kinda just happened, and I’m really glad it did. I remember sitting on my bedroom floor at like 10pm, three days before starting my freshman year of highschool. I had my acoustic guitar, and I was chillin in my sweats, just noodling around. I started off with basic minor chords that instantly took me to the desert, and the words just came to me. It was somewhat effortless which made the vibe much more organic. Sometimes I don’t know how I write songs with themes or topics i’ve never experienced. Lying Eyes is obviously about a relationship, and i’ve never even been in a serious relationship. I just have SUCH a deep empathy, and things that i’ve never been through just make sense.”
