American hip-hop trio Black Eyed Peas and Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira dropped a new music video for “GIRL LIKE ME” on December 4th.
The song is included on Black Eyed Peas' eighth studio album “Translation”, which was released Back in June.
The track interpolates will.i.am's 2014 single “Girl Like You” featuring Rita Ora, produced by Calvin Harris.
It was written by Shakira, Tim Mitchell, Albert Menendez, Brendan Buckley, Johnny Goldstein, Jimmy Gomez, apl.de.ap and will.i.am.
“To all the Shakira fans, the new video is coming,” BEP's Taboo told Billboard. “Because they've been telling us, 'You're taking too long with this video,' so we apologize. Greatness takes a long time. I promise you it will be out.”
"Shakira and I worked on 'Girl Like Me' in 2008," will.i.am said. "I'm so happy it's out in the world. I've always loved the melody, and I'm so happy Shakira and I worked together to release the song and made a video in 2020 for the world to hear and see."- source : Billboard
