  • Crawlers Premieres New Song “Would You Come To My Funeral” on BBC Radio 1

  • Liverpool-based alt-rock band Crawlers, consisting of Harry Breen (drums), Liv Kettle (bass), Holly Minto (vocals/guitar) and Amy Woodall (guitar), premiered a new song “Would You Come To My Funeral” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo on September 18, 2023.

The song is the follow-up to “Messiah”, which was released bak in June.
The track was written by Amy Woodall, Harry Breen, Holly Minto, Olivia Kettle, Pete Robertson, and Jamie Hartman. Produced by Pete Robertson.
The band lead singer Holly Minto told Clara Amfo about the song, “I actually had a lyric written on my notes as every artist and girl, girl knows you get one thought whether it's like I need to pick up pasta for lunch or would someone hates me now come to my funeral, and the same girl boss kind of level. And I think there's so many people you kind of meet in your life like I'm in my early 20s teenagers obviously. And you wonder wow, at one point in my life this person was everything, you spend every waking minute with them, whether that be online physically doing whatever, whether it's a guardian or partner or a friend.”
  • She continued, “And now you kind of both hate each other's guts a little bit. There's law there. There's law. And I always think about death a lot not to be dramatic. Not to be emailed a little bit email, but I was like, if I die and then I have this like open funeral would they like be sad? and you're just like, really dramatic thinking about death and you're like a kid like, like thinking, Am I dying? And then I was like, oh, actually, would they even like come to my funeral? Like, would they say a funny story even though now they'd actually don't know who I am anymore. Like now I have blue hair. Who is this?”
The band embarks on their headline tour this fall. The tour kicks off at Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow on September 21, 2023
