Toronto-based singer-songwriter Danyka released a new song “Toi” on May 7, 2021.
The song is third single off of her upcoming debut EP “Other Woman”, following “Impossible” and “Think About Us”.
The track was produced by Chris Perry and Nick.
“I'm excited to share 'Toi' – a happy, lighthearted bop about young love that maintains chill R&B vibes,” Danyka said of the song. “I just wanted to have fun with the songwriting! Like in those beginning stages of a relationship, where being with this person feels so new and exciting you can't get enough and want to know if they feel the same.”
She continued, “I first improvised the last line of the hook, Got you on lock, oui je veux de toi, which set the tone for the rest of the song, flowing between English and French.”
The EP is expected to be released in 2021.
Danyka is better known as Danyka Nadeau, who joined the EDM scene in 2013. She recent released a new remix of “Hurt” with Jeremy Van Caulart.- source : SoundCloud
