Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Carrie Underwood Announces New Album “My Savior”, Drops New Version of “Softly And Tenderly”
American country music singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood announced her eighth studio album “My Savior” will be released on March 26, 2021.
The album follows up her first Christmas album “My Gift” and features 13-track, co-produced by Carrie Underwood and David Garcia.
Carrie Underwood shared on social media, “For this album, I chose some of the familiar hymns I've been singing for as long as I can remember. These songs set the foundation for me and I hope you love them as much as I do.”
On February 12th, she unveiled a new version of “Softly And Tenderly”. The original version of the song was composed and written by Will L. Thompson in 1880.
She performed the song back in 2017 during the 51st annual CMA Awards' In Memoriam segment, which paid tribute to the fifty-eight Route 91 shooting victims.
