Celeste Performs “A Little Love” & Cover of “8 Days of Christmas” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
British singer-songwriter Celeste appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform her latest song “A Little Love” and a cover of “8 Days of Christmas”.
“A Little Love” was released from her upcoming debut album “Not Your Muse” last month. It was written by Jamie Hartman and Celeste.
The track was used by UK department store John Lewis‘ annual Christmas advert and Waitrose’s “Give A Little Love” charity initiative, which aims to raise £5 million over Christmas and help 100,000 families in partnership with food redistribution charities FareShare and Home-Start.
Celeste said, “I felt honored to be asked to take part. I wanted to create something that felt classic but still true to who I am as a writer and performer.”
“8 Days of Christmas” was released by American R&B girl group Destiny's Child in 2001 from their Christmas album of the same name.
Celeste's debut album is set to be released on February 26, 2021. Initially scheduled for late 2020, but was repeatedly delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Celeste shared on social media, “Not Your Muse is the power I found when I felt powerless... In making this album I have allowed myself to arrive at a place where I feel empowered, fiercely wide-eyed and fulfilled.
