Alexa Ray Releases New Song “Fearless”
- Canadian singer-songwriter Alexa Ray released a new song “Fearless” from her upcoming album of the same title on August 6th.
This song, as well as the other 7 tracks on the album, are defined by her unique mixture of atmospheric pop and her powerful smokey vocals.
She worked with producer Randall Jermaine for the song. Alexa Ray said, “I wanted people to be left with the message that striving for acceptance isn't worth it. You're on the planet to be you and no one else. Every time you take a dive against who you are or what you believe in I think you lose a little part of yourself. Whether it's standing up for what you believe in, fighting bullies or just being you to the most authentic degree possible It takes courage. “Fearless” was written as a fight song to stay true to one's self and who you are even if it means going against the grain of our hypocritical societal standards.”
Randall Jermaine said, “There's really a strong message in the song I can relate to 100%, so working on this song felt so close to home. The song Fearless was an amazing project to work on, Alexa's lyrics and vocal tone drove me to do a really bold production of fusing pop with orchestral elements to match.”
- The album is inspired from tv and film. She told ECHO about the album in an interview, “The album has a good mixture of songs that weave between both the pop and cinematic style. The track 'Fearless' being the most pop, with other songs such as 'Father Can You Hear Me' that really fall more on the cinematic spectrum with huge orchestral productions. Overall, the album is very moody with huge vocal performances and you can really hear Randall and I experimenting with our production and the sounds throughout are heavily inspired by tv and film.”
The album is expected to be released this fall.
