Sara Bareilles Premieres New Song “Armor”
American singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles has dropped a new song “Armor” with accompanying lyric video, directed by Morgan Gruer.
The song is lead single off her upcoming as-yet-untitled sixth album, which is set to be released in 2019.
It is a female-empowerment anthem that laments the injustices against women in society and encourages all women to stand in solidarity with one another.
She originally planned to release “Armor” next year, but felt it was particularly apt in light of recent news events. “This song was not intended to be released until next year, but it felt increasingly like it wants to belong to this moment in time. So excited to share this special song that is so near and dear to my heart,” she tweeted.
The new album, produced entirely by Burnett, is her first LP since 2015's "What's Inside: Songs from Waitress".- source : Rolling Stone
