SJae Returns with New Song “Paper Hearts”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter SJae returned with a new song “Paper Hearts” on October 2, 2024.
The song is the first taste from her upcoming EP of the same name, which is expected to be released later this year.
The EP is her first project in five years since the 2019 album “First”.
Also, the track follows up two sings from Netflix film “Mixed by Erry” soundtrack, “Why Do They Call It Falling In Love?” featuring SNVRS and “Crollerai” featuring Hilaire, which were released last May.
The song blends folk, blues, country and soul, into an emotional and raw commentary on the fragility of the human condition.
It was written and produced by SJae. Accompanying music video was directed by Kacper Skowron.
SJae said of the song, “I’m hoping people will find this song cathartic, as I wanted to express a feeling that every single one of us are ultimately so fragile, we’re all just trying our best with what we have to work with, and that most of us don’t have it all figured out.”- She added, “A message of hope and humility, strength and grace through radical acceptance and the notion that we are all so fragile and vulnerable, that through this insane time in history, even though our paths may differ, our destination is the same.”
