American singer-songwriter Alexander 23 surprise released a new song called “On My Mind” on Valentine's Day (February 14).
He released it just three weeks, following the release of “How Much Longer?” last month.
This time, he teamed up with American guitarist Cory Wong on the track.
Alexander 23 said of working with Cory Wong, “We got Cory Wong guitars. I've been wanting Cory to play on song of mine for so long and it's finally day. This is legitimately exactly what the song needed.”
He wrote the song last Valentine's Day. The track was written Alexander 23 and Cory Wong, produced by Alexander 23.
“Surpriseeeeee! 'On My Mind' featuring guitar wizard Cory Wong out,” Alexander 23 said of the song, “I started writing this song around last Valentine's Day about someone who I was seeing who was the first person that made me very excited. In a long time, which felt the really good and it didn't work out as it usually doesn't.”- He continued, “You know, people don't talk about enough is like almost every relationship doesn't work out. Everyone's so shocked when it doesn't work out. It's always like candy, of course it didn't work out, it rarely works out, you rarely get married and live together forever.”
He added, “But anyways, so it didn't work out and I am ironically putting this song out a year later on Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day. It's one of my first songs you can't listen to without moving a little bit, and as someone's made a lot of slow sad songs feel really good to make more like this.” - source : Apple Music
