  • Jacob Collier Performs “Witness Me” with Tori Kelly on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

  • British singer-songwriter Jacob Collier appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “Witness Me”.

This time, he played the song with American singer-songwriter Tori Kelly.
The song is featured on his upcoming fourth album “Djesse Vol. 4” of the Djesse series, which is set to be released on February 29, 2024.
This is not the first collabotration between Jacob Collier and Tori Kelly.
In the past, Tori Kelly worked with Jacob Collier for his 2020 album “Djesse Vol. 3”, where she performed on “Running Outta Love”.
Also, she joined in the new album “Djesse Vol. 4”, where she performed a cover of Paul Simon's "Bridge Over Troubled Water".
“Witness Me” was released was last November, featuring Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, British rapper Stormzy, and American gospel singer-songwriter Kirk Franklin.
  • Jacob Collier said of the song, “The song began its journey back in 2021 when Shawn and I got together to throw some paint in Malibu. We bonded over our love of gospel music, joyous communal gatherings, and creating music for more than ourselves. I worked on that song seed over the coming months and traveled to Arlington, Texas (chez Franklin) to work with Kirk and his unbelievable singers for a day. That session transformed the demo into a fully-fledged song, which I then sent to Stormzy to do his inimitable magic with.”
He continued, “This song means a great deal to me, and its creation has brought me a lot of hope and warmth over the two years of its gestation. In a time where there are countless divisive forces around the world, my hope is that this song can act as a reminder of the power people hold to come together and really see each other, carry each other, and bear witness to life in all its colors.”

  • The new album comprises a 16-track, featuring guest appearances from Brandi Carlile, Lindsey Lomis, Lawrence, Michael McDonald, Madison Cunningham, Chris Thile, Anoushka Shankar, Varijashree Venugopal, Camilo, Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, Kirk Franklin, Lizzy McAlpine, John Mayer, John Legend, Tori Kelly, Aespa, Chris Martin, Kirk Franklin, Chika, D Smoke, Sho Madjozi, Yelle, Kanyi Mavi, Metropole Orkest, Suzie Collier, Steve Vai, and Voces8.
It is his first album in four years and will be the final instalment in the Djesse series, which began in 2018 with “Djesse Vol. 1”.
