  • Simply Red Covers Frank Sinatra's “My Way” from Live Album “Symphonica In Rosso”

  • British pop band Simply Red dropped a live video for covering American actor Frank Sinatra's “My Way” on December 22, 2023.

The song and video are featured on their live album “Symphonica in Rosso - Live at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam”, which was released in 2018.
The original version of the song is the French song "Comme d'habitude", which was written by Jacques Revaux, Gilles Thibaut and Claude François in 1967.
Canadian-American singer-songwriter Paul Anka wrote English lyrics, then Frank Sinatra released the song in 1969. But the English lyrics are unrelated to the original French song.
Before the released of the video, Simply Red released their thirteenth studio album “Time” back in May. It is their first album in four years since the 2019 album “Blue Eyed Soul”.
Next year will be the 40th anniversary of their debut. Simply Red said of the video as a Christmas gift to their fans.
  • Simply Red said, “Wishing you Season's Greetings and a happy new year with your friends, family and loved ones. We've had a fantastic year performing across the UK and Europe, and releasing our album Time, so thank you all for your support. We're looking forward to more activity next year and into 2025 for our 40th anniversary celebrations! As a Christmas gift, you can now enjoy Simply Red's rendition of 'My Way' from Symphonica in Rosso on the band's official YouTube channel.”
