Darla Jade Releases New Song “Backseat Driver”
British electro-pop singer-songwriter Darla Jade released a new song “Backseat Driver” on September 29, 2023.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Mollie King.
The track is the third single of 2023, following “Buy More Time” and “All For Nothing”.
She co-wrote the song with long term collaborator Imad Salhi and George Gleeson, and crafted on a writing camp in Rome.
It is an upbeat electro-pop, guitar-driven track paired with '80s style synths.
On lyric, she draws about being scared to let go of control and trusting someone to have her best interests at heart.
