SPELLES Returns With New Song “Holy Hells”
Los Angeles-based dream pop duo SPELLES, consisting of Kathryn Baar and Luc Laurent, returned with a new song “Holy Hells” on August 23, 2023.
It is their first music in two years since the 2021 single “Ghost Ship”.
The song is a sophisticated blend of indie pop and blues/gospel influences that combine to create a deeply affecting and spiritual composition.
The track was written and produced by Kathryn Baar and Luc Lauren.
Kathryn Baar said of the song, “What a gift it is to be able to create and share music in this mysterious world we live in. This is our way of connecting with others and we feel deeply grateful to have the ability to do so. Luc Laurent and I wrote, recorded and produced this song last year with the help of some of our dear friends.”
