  • Cyn Releases New Song “Where Do All The Diamonds Go?”

  • American singer-songwriter Cynthia Nabozny, aka Cyn released a new song “Where Do All The Diamonds Go?” on July 14, 2023.

The song will appear on her upcoming full-length debut album, which is expected to be released in 2023.
It was written by Cynthia Nabozny, Teddy Geiger, and Evan Voytas. Produced by Teddy Geiger.
The accompanying music video was directed by Mister (Miche Sieg & Rose Chirillo).
Cyn said of the song, “When I wrote this song, I had a lot think about my Ring, Other Rings, HIs Ring, and adjusting to all that comes along with his old ring. Well, it was quite a hard thing but really, this song has nothing to do with rings. This song is about how some things die and make way for seeds of meant o be with no choice but to grow.”
  • She continued, “Something happens when you have a baby and it's not easy to describe. I almost defend myself when I hear the words for what there are. It's something like the death of who you used to be and the evolution into someone new and it's not meant to scare and it is excruciating and beautiful and natural. It's the kind of growing that heroes do and just one of things I touch on my new song 'Where Do All The Diamonds Go?'”

  • She said of the music video, “The music video takes place in a pawn shop and to be honest, pawn shops are actually ...emotionally taxing! Everyone has a story, a gut wrenching story! Every object, maybe sold in some kind of desperation ...or not. It's eye opening; life has so many facets.
A woman came through while we were shooting the video with 2 police officers in tow, searching for her wedding ring that was illegally pawned. Everyone has been somewhere, everyone is headed somewhere, everyone is carrying a weight.
I felt exhausted after the video. I can't stop the overwhelming empathy, even toward those small dirty trinkets in the cases: old iphones, electric tools, 'mom' necklaces.
I noticed some Nintendo switches in the case. I thought of a tik tok i saw where a girl explain that her mother struggling with addiction had pawned her game boy when she was a little girl. I feel very sentimental towards young people who go through things out of their control.
Our video features a beautifully, rich in character cast!”
