Marianna Winter Releases New Song “People Pleaser”
Faroese-American singer-songwriter Marianna Winter released a new song “People Pleaser” on June 30, 2023.
A confessional record, her latest offering pulls back the curtain to reveal the darker side of being a giver.
Aptly titled “People Pleaser”, the single is an (ironically) unapologetic, sharp, and harmony-rich take on being undervalued and underappreciated.
She wrote the song with Joakim Buddee who also produced the track and co-wrote her previous song “Consequences”, which was released back in May.
Marianna Winter said of the song, “We all know some people pleasers in our lives. If you don't then maybe you ARE one... if so, don't worry. I got you. This year I sought to add a new word to my vocabulary. The word being: no. I found myself saying yes to everything, but I always ended up leaving my attention and well-being unevenly distributed - in both professional and personal relationships. My new goal gave birth to this song, which I hope will empower other people pleasers to give a little less fucks too.”- source : Apple Music
