David Archuleta Releases New Song “UP”
American pop singer-songwriter David Archuleta released a new song “UP” on June 2, 2023.
The song follows up the collaborative single “IDONTUNDERSTAND” with American electro-pop singer-songwriter CG5.
Also, it is his first own music since the 2022 single “Faith In Me”.
The track was written by David Archuleta, Jeremy Thurber and Taylor Sparks. Produced by Taylor Sparks and Willy Beaman.
David Archuleta said of the song, “This song is about hitting what we feel is rock bottom in our lives and like there's nowhere to go. You feel hopeless. The only thing to do from the bottom is get yourself off the ground and move up. It's a song about finding the strength you didn't know you had in you. And replacing any fear and hate with love. Especially self love.”
He continued, “I hit rock bottom. I thought I wouldn't get through it, but here I am. I thought I was hopeless and that I'd failed, but here I am. Even when you're at your lowest, you need to realize you can only go UP. You need to hold on to that glimmer of hope and say, I am going to turn any type of hate and negativity into positivity and love.”
