It was written by Miley Cyrus, Sarah Aarons, and Greg Kurstin, who also produced the track.
The song draws a story of regret and missed opportunities in a failed relationship.
She first performed the song at the Disney+ documentary concert special Backyard Sessions on March 10, 2023.
