YVY MARAEY Releases New Song “Water” featuring RAIZA BIZA
Brazilian singer-songwriter YVY MARAEY teamed up with New Zealand rapper RAIZA BIZA to release a new song “Water” on February 17, 2023.
This marks the first collaboration between YVY MARAEY and RAIZA BIZA.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming debut EP “NO PARAÍSO”, following “Olé” released last November.
It was written by YVY MARAEY, RAIZA BIZA, Tau Manukia and Raiza Biza. Produced by Noah Slee, Simon Abela, and Tim Granbacka.
YVY MARAEY said of the song, “The song 'Water' makes me think of my roots which automatically brings me back to the feeling of being in nature. For me one of the most sacred moments are when I get to connect with the natural world, it's always the best medicine for me. It reminds me of everything being a constant cycle of growth.”- The accompanying music video was directed by YVY MARAEY and Connor Pritchard, who filmed in New Zealand.
She saof of the video, “This also inspired me to want to shoot the music video in stunning New Zealand. Literally all the shots are demonstrating the unique beauty of Aotearoa. I got to live in Auckland for over a year and fell in love with the power of this amazing nature and the strong indigenous culture of the Māori people.”
The debut EP is expected to be released in 2023 and will be supported by a launch party in Rio De Janeiro and a headline tour in Brazil. -
