Blaue Blume Releases New Song “Crush”
Copenhagen-based alt-rock band Blaue Blume, consisting of Jonas Holst Schmidt (vocals), Søren Buhl Lassen (drums), and Buster Jensen (guitar), released a new song “Crush” on February 3 2023.
The song is the second single off their upcoming EP, following “Country” released last September.
The track was written and produced by Buster Jensen, Jonas Holst Schmidt, and Søren Buhl Lassen.
The band frontman Jonas Schmidt said of the song, “'Crush' is pretty much about getting your relationship to sparkle again when you both get stuck in all the practical stuff and everyday life. The song is about dancing and making out again with the one you went out of your way to get, reminding yourself that you really shouldn't take love for granted. 'Crush' is a tribute to girlfriends and boyfriends.”
The new EP is expected to be released later this year.
- Jonas Schmidt said of the previous song “Country”, “On previous releases, it was interesting to emerge ourselves in every conceivable fable and mystique that the music could contain. And in this way truly make a statement and an impact.”
He continued, “Now we are just as interested in basically just communicating a great song, and as a singer I dare to lean on to that. Hopefully everyone can relate to the idea of wanting to pull the plug, after a night out on the town, for instance. Having an urge to leave and finding it hard to relax in an apartment on the 3rd floor. In that way, our new song certainly flirts with the romantic idea of a life on the countryside, but beneath the surface, 'Country' is about finding that space within yourself first and foremost. That 'country' is where you are as a person right now. And that you allow yourself to be in that place and dwell on that state of mind.”
