Mac Wetha Premieres New Song “Fairytale” featuring Rachel Chinouriri on BBC Radio 1
London-based producer Mac Wetha premiered a new song “Fairytale” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
This time, he teamed up with British singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri on the track.
The track was written by Lloyd Macdonald, Chris Thomas, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Harry Hayman, and Rachel Chinouriri. Produced by Mac Wetha.
The accompanying video was directed by Elif.
Mac Wetha told Clara Amfo, “To be honest I think Rachel when we wrote it together, you had that lyric on my phone sold a compromise. You know, my first compromise that's a nice set of the whole the whole whole fairytale concept if you will.”
- Rachel Chinouriri continued, “I kind of had the vastness kind of like, what kind of message do I want to give back here, you could go two different ways as I was like. I'm gonna be like, you were not good enough for me. This is my little song. It was funny because it's such a fun song and we're like, ooh, and then when you hit the lyrics.”
She added, “I think because the energy and the delivery especially of Mac part in the song and the energy that I wanted to give. It kind of just comes to you in the spur of the moment. And I think it just the back and forth between us as well just really flowed really well.”
