Kodaline Drops New Live Video for “All I Want” from New Album “Our Roots Run Deep (Live)”
Irish rock band Kodaline, consisting of Steve Garrigan (lead vocals/keyboards), Mark Prendergast (lead guitars), Vincent May (drums) and Jason Boland (bass), has dropped a new live video for “All I Want”.
The live version of the song is included on their live album “Our Roots Run Deep (Live)”, which was released on October 13, 2022.
The video was filmed at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin in March 2022.
The studio version of “All I Want” was released from their debut album “In a Perfect World” in 2013. The music video for the song was issued in 2 separate parts and was directed by Stevie Russell. The part 1 of the video has garnered over 231 million views on YouTube. The part 2 has garnered over 69 million views on YouTube.
Steve Garrigan said of the song, “I think for most people who have heard of us, this is the song that they would know or would possibly be waiting for if they happened to go along to a Kodaline show. Playing this song never gets old for us and it still means a lot to me. I hope the atmosphere and energy of the show comes across in this recording because for us it was something special.”
The live album comprises 17-track, including American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson's cover “Billie Jean”. The band said of the album, “This album is something we've wanted to do for a very long-time, it's also something entirely new to us. It's a stripped-down acoustic show with no click, which basically means, it's very raw and unfiltered. We wanted to try and capture the energy and atmosphere of the night as best we could. It was an intimate show recorded in one of our favourite venues in the world, in Dublin City at home in Ireland. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed playing it. We know these days most people don't tend to do it but we would recommend listening to the record from start to finish ❤️.”
