Kehlani Releases New Album “It Was Good Until It Wasn't”: Streaming
American singer-songwriter Kehlani released her sophomore album “It Was Good Until It Wasn't” on May 8th.
It is her first project since her 2019 mixtape “While We Wait” and first LP since her 2017 debut studio album “SweetSexySavage”.
Originally, the album was supposed to be released on April 24th, but the quarantine forced her to shift the rollout.
“We had all these grand plans, and we didn't get to do any of them,” she says. “I told the label, ‘Yo, the way my life works, I have to write as I go and I'm going to want to write a new album in five months or whenever this is all over. If I don't release this now, if I don't get this out of my body, then it's probably not going to happen.’”
The album features guest appearances from Tory Lanez, Jhené Aiko, Masego, Lucky Daye and James Blake. Also, Ty Dolla Sign performed background vocals on "Toxic".
“The biggest thing about this whole quarantine was that I impressed myself,” Kehlani says. “That's why no matter what happens with this album, this might be my favorite project I've ever put out.”- source : EW.com
