Bring Me The Horizon Drops New Music Video for “mother tongue”
- British rock band Bring Me The Horizon has dropped a new music video for “mother tongue” directed by Chris Muir.
The song was premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show back in January. And the track is included on their sixth studio album “Amo”,
it also is a love song dedicated to frontman Oliver Sykes’ wife, Alissa Salls.
Oliver Sykes said of the song, “It’s probably the most gushing, out there, just straight up love song we’ve ever written. This was one of the easier ones to write because it was positive. It’s about when I first met my new wife and she’s from Brazil.
She didn’t speak so much English. She talked a lot better than my Portuguese, but from the very start, we had a really, really strong connection and it was just a crazy time. And this song’s just talking about those experiences, which they just stick in my head. So, that was really one of the easier ones to write about.”
The album is their first music in three years. The album comprises of 13-track and reached No. 1 on the UK Album chart and No. 14 on the US Billboard 200. Produced by Oliver Sykes and keyboardist Jordan Fish, and was written and recorded primarily in Los Angeles.
It features guest appearances from Grimes, Dani Filth and Rahzel.
